Paper Pattern for CGPSC Prelims Exam 2023 

As per the official notification for the CGPSC PSC exam, The CGPSC PSC Prelims 2023 have been scheduled for February 11, 2024. We are here to provide you with information about paper patterns for CGPSC PSC that will be useful for you to get a proper and efficient amount of knowledge to qualify for this exam. 


  • The examination is of an objective type.

  • The paper format is offline.

  • Each paper will have two hours to complete.

  • Every paper contains questions for 200 marks.

Paper Pattern for CGPSC Mains Exam 2023

Candidates who are eligible to complete the preliminary examination will all next appear in the main examination to compete in the interview selection process. The Mains Exam is an important step towards a PCS journey. Once you clear all stages, then only you will be able to serve your nation as a respected officer of your own country. 


  • The CGPSC PCS Mains exam will consist of seven papers and All papers of this examination are standard in format. 

  • Every paper consists of questions for 200 marks.

  • Three hours are allotted to students for completion of each paper.

  • Candidates can choose in which language they want to take their respective exams, this condition applies to every paper, Except for the Language paper.

Syllabus for CGPSC Preliminary Exam 2023

  • The difficulty level of questions related to this will be of class 10 level

  • Data interpretation (data sufficiency, graphs, charts, tables, etc – Class 10 level).

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) is planning to conduct Mains examination in May-June month of 2024. The Mains exam consists of 7 papers as shown in the paper pattern table. Eligibility criteria

Each government exam has its respective eligibility criteria, and this examination also has some eligibility criteria fixed by its commission as follows:


Educational Qualification: firstly every Candidate must have a graduate degree from any recognized university to apply in the examination.


Age limit: The candidates must have his/her age between 21 to 28 as of January 1, 2023. For the Reserved category of candidates, some amount of Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided. 


Selection process 

CGPSC Exam consists of three main stages, Preliminary, Main, and Interview rounds. The preliminary examination consists of 2 papers. After completing these two papers, you will be able to compete for the Mains examination. Once you pass your main examination, you can go to the interview stage. Once you qualify for these stages, you become a successful officer.

Step 2: Once you reach there, Click on the link “CLICK HERE TO VIEW/PRINT ONLINE ADMIT CARD OF STATE SERVICE (PRELIMS) EXAM-2023 (30-01-2024)”


Step 3: By doing this, you will be redirected to the login page where you need to provide your ‘Email ID’ and ‘Password’ and then you have to click on the ‘Login’ Button.


Step 4: Now you can easily Download your CGPSC Prelims Admit Card 2024 and easily be able to take the printout of the respective admit card. 


Application fee 

No application fee for domicile candidates of Chhattisgarh is there to pay and Rs 400 is chargeable for out-of-state applicants.
